Depart Darwin and stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery.
Continue to Edith Falls for a refreshing swim. After lunch, enter Nitmiluk National Park. Join your guided cruise between the sandstone cliff walls of Katherine Gorge. Learn of the significance of the Aboriginal rock art which adorns the walls of the gorge while watching out for saltwater crocodiles. Return to Darwin stopping to purchase dinner, a Top End speciality of barramundi and chips (own expense).

Travel south from Darwin and into the picturesque Litchfield National Park. Ascend the rocky Tabletop Range and stop to view masses of magnetic termite mounds. See the double waterfall forming Florence Falls. Continue to Tolmer Falls, and then journey to Wangi Falls where there's time for a swim in the crystal-clear waters at the waterfall's base. Operated in conjunction with Aussie Adventure Holidays.

Depart Darwin and enter Kakadu National Park. Covering some 20 000 square kilometres, Kakadu is home to Australia's largest national park. Cruise the wetlands and see the ancient escarpment, and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. After lunch see rock art at Nourlangie. En route to Darwin stop at the Window on the Wetlands for drinks with a view over the floodplain.
